About NekoLang

NekoLang is a set of mock exams for JLPT N2 and N3, made by ZHOU YUEJIE, a sole proprietor in Japan.

An independent product

NekoLang is an independent product. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Japan Foundation or Japan Educational Exchanges and Services (JEES). "Japanese-Language Proficiency Test", "日本語能力試験" and "JLPT" are the name and marks of the test those two organizations run. We use them only to describe the test.

The questions are original

The questions, explanations and audio were newly made for this service. They are not past papers, and they are not copied or adapted from past papers.

How AI is used, and what has been checked

• The questions and explanations were written with AI and checked by several independent AI readers who solved them again.
• No native-speaker teacher or real test taker has checked them yet.
• Translations of explanations and screens are by AI.
• The pictures in N3 listening were drawn by AI image generation, with text and numbers added by a program.
• Listening audio is AI-generated (Microsoft Azure). It does not imitate any real person's voice.
